Lots of rehearsal, deepening friendships and bringing joy to others today

with their talents. We sang today at the Johanniter nursing home nearby where about 30 people between 80-95 listened to us under a clear, hot sky. We interspersed choir pieces with Paul's magnificent violin playing.

The smiles on these old folks' faces proved the point that our jazz and gospel music is universally understood and meaningful around the world.

Yesterday was the warmest day we've had so far here in Germany temperature-wise. Also warmer are our feelings for each other. The girls in my room are now my close friends. I thought it was going to be more difficult to get along with everyone but I don't think American and German teenagers are that different. We all love to talk, laugh and most of all sing. Yesterday was also our first concert at a local nursing home. As we stood under the beating sun whispering about our notes and how warm we were, it didn't make a difference where we came from. We stood jumbled up in our parts - American, German, American, German, and sung truly about our common faith and love for Jesus. It didn't matter that we got a few notes wrong - we were there together, singing together, being together, singing together, and loving together!
